This is a free and easy crochet pattern for Wendy Summer Shawl with photo tutorial in each steps. This light and breezy summer shawl will keep you cozy warm all the the way through those cool autumn nights. This will be the perfect shawl for the transition of summer into fall.
This is a triangular shawl crocheted from top center of the shawl towards the side / bottom corner.
Size of Wendy Summer Shawl is 50” across and 29” from top to bottom corner

Yarn Weight: Light DK weight cotton
Yarn: South Maid Cotton 8 (Crochet Yarn), shade: Coral , 2 3/4 Skeins, 180 grams
Hook size: 4.00 MM [US G-6]
All terms are in USA terminology
Ch: Chain, Sc: Single Crochet, Dc: Double Crochet, Hdc: Half Double Crochet, Sl st: Slip Stitch, Sp: Space, Sk: Skip, Lp: loop, Bet: between
Cluster: (Yarn over, insert hook in specified sc and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through first 2 loops on hook) twice, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops. Cl made.
Picot: Ch 3, sl st in top of specified dc.
2” square = 8 sts x 3 rows of DC

Row 9-40: Rep row 5-8. Gradually increasing the count of cluster. End w/ a total of 20 cluster.
Note:
You must have a multiple of 3 cluster + 2 cluster in one side of the shawl (or total of 6 cluster + 4 cluster for both side of the triangle shawl)
If after row 40, you think the shawl is still short, you may repeat row 5-8, just that you have to end row 8 and remember the multiple of 3 cluster + 2 cluster in each side of the shawl.

Row 41: Ch 5 (consider ch 3 as 1st dc and ch 2 as sp), turn, sc in the same 2 ch sp, *ch 5, sc in next cl, ch 5, [7 dc in next 5 ch sp, (sc in next cl, ch 5, sc in next 5 ch sp, ch 5) twice, sc in next cl] across, 7 dc in next 5 ch sp, sc in next cl, ch 5*, (sc, ch 5, sc) in next 5 ch sp, rep *to* once, (sc, ch 2, dc) in last 2 ch sp.
