Girlie's Crochet

This is a pretty scarf that you can match up with the Gina Dress. They use the same stitch with a variation in the creation process.

This scarf is worked in round.

Multiple of 12 sts + 4sts

Size: 6 1/2: x 72"


Skill level

Easy


Materials Needed

Hook: 5.50MM [US I- 9]

Yarn Weight: #4, Worsted yarn

Yarn Used: Caron Simply Soft yarn, Watermelon, 340 yards

Tapestry needle for weaving ends.


Terms Used

All terms are in USA terminology

Ch: Chain,  Sc: Single Crochet,  Dc: Double Crochet, Sp: Space,  Sk:Skip


Stitch Guide

V-st: dc, ch1, dc in specified st.

Picot: ch 3, sl st in specified st.


Gauge

7 sts  , 2 rows of DC's = 2 "


Gina Crochet Scarf Instructions

Round 1: Ch 262, sc in 2nd ch from hook, [ch 5, sk next 3 ch, sc in next ch] across the ch (you have 65 loops), ch 7, sc in the same st (as shown in photo and below serves as 1st end of the scarf), rep [ ] once, ch 7, sl st in 1st sc to join.


Round 2 : Sl st in next 2 sts of 5 ch sp, ch1, sc in the same sp, *[ch 5, sc in next 5 ch sp, 8 dc in next 5 ch sp, sc in next 5 ch sp] across, 8 dc - ch 7 - 8 dc in 7 ch sp*, sc in next 5 ch sp, rep * to * once, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. (46 – 8dc sets)


Round 3: Sl st in next 2 sts of 5 ch sp, ch1, sc in the same sp, [*(dc in next dc, picot) 7 times, dc in next dc, sc in next 5ch sp, rep * across, ch 5 - sc - ch 5 - sc in next 5 ch sp] twice, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join.


Round 4: Ch8 (consider as 1st dc and 5ch sp), sk next 2 picot, sc in next picot, ch5, sk next picot, sc in next picot, ch5, sk next 2 picot, [*dc in next sc, ch5, sk next 2 picot, sc in next picot, ch5, sk next picot, sc in next picot, ch5, sk next 2 picot, rep * across, (ch 5, sc in next 5 ch sp) twice, ch 5] twice, end w/ sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch8 to join.


Round 5 : Sl st in next 2 sts of 5 ch sp, ch1, sc in the same sp, [*8 dc in next 5 ch sp, sc in next 5 ch sp, ch 5, sc in next 5 ch sp, rep * across, 11 dc in next 5 ch sp, sc in next 5 ch sp, ch 5, sc in next 5 ch sp] twice, 8 dc in next 5 ch sp, sc in next 5 ch sp, ch 2, dc in 1st sc.


Round 6: Ch1, sc in the same sp, [*(dc in next dc, picot) 7 times, dc in next dc, sc in next 5ch sp, rep * across, (dc in next dc, picot) 10 times, dc in next dc, sc in next 5ch sp] twice, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join.


Fasten off and weave in ends.
