Chesca Scarf

This Chesca Scarf is a free crochet pattern of a light and lacy scarf to brighten your day and you as well, while warming you up as dusk approaches.

Cheska Scarf is start in the middle, then will split into two towards the end, then back to the middle and repeat the whole instructions.

The edging will be the last row which is around the scarf that serves the edging of the scarf.

You may substitute the thread into crochet thread #10 or any fine yarn available in your area and just use a big hook to achieve the lacy look.

Size: 11"  x  88" 


Materials Needed:

Hook: US-F  5/3.75MM

Thread: Monaco Rayon thread #8, 160 grams, (you may substitute this into Aunt Lydia’s thread #10)

Ch: ChainDc: Double Crochet, Sc: Single Crochet,  Cl: Cluster, Sl st: Slip Stitch, Sk: Skip, Beg: Beginning, Rem: Remaining


Stitch Guide:

Shell: 2dc – ch2 – 2dc in specified st

Cluster: Yarn over the hook, draw up a loop in next st, yarn over the hook, draw  through first 2 loops on hook, (yarn over the hook, draw up a loop in same st, yarn over the hook, draw  through first 2 loops on hook) twice, yarn over the hook, draw through all 4 loops on hook: [Cluster made].

Dc4tog: (Yarn over the hook, draw up a loop in next dc, yarn over the hook, draw through first 2 loops on hook) 4 times, Yarn over the hook, draw through all 5 loops on hook: [dc4tog made].

Dc3tog: (Yarn over the hook, draw up a loop in next dc or dc4tog, yarn over the hook, draw through first 2 loops on hook) 3 times, Yarn over the hook, draw through all 4 loops on hook: [dc3tog made].

On the 2nd pointed pineapple design, attach yarn on top of dc as shown in photo below.

On the other half of the scarf, attach thread as shown in photo below. 


Repeat the instructions from row 1-88. 


On the 4th pointed pineapple design, do not cut, and continue to edging.

Edging: (Ch3, dc in the same st, sl st in next joined dc) around. 


 Cut off and weave in ends.
