This Beginners Crochet Coaster is best for those who are in their 1st stage to crochet. It is easy to make and just basic stitches, anyone who can accomplish this coaster pattern will definitely be proud. This is an example of a project that even the beginner can crochet that can be useful.

Beginner


Materials Needed:

Hook: US G 6/4.00 MM

Yarn: #3 Light weight

Yarns Used: Gantsilyo Guru Milk Cotton Light Mini, Y1347


Terms Used:

All terms are in USA terminology

Ch: Chain,  Sc: Single Crochet,  Dc: Double Crochet,  Sp: Space,  Sk: Skip,  Rep: Repeat, 


Stitch Guide:

Shell (sh): [Dc, (ch 1, dc) 3 times] in specified dc.


Gauge:

Finished project coaster = 4 “ in diameter


Beginners Crochet Coaster Instructions:

Round 1: Ch 6, sl st in 1st ch to form a ring, ch 3 (consider as 1st dc here and throughout), 23 dc in the ring, end w/ sl st in 1st dc to join. [24 dc]


Round 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in the same st, sk next dc, *3 dc in next dc, sk next dc, rep from * around, end w/ sl st in 1st dc to join. [12 sets of 3 dc]


Round 3: Sl st in next 2 dc and in next sp (between 2 sets of 3 dc), ch3, 2 dc in the same sp, ch 1, sk next 3 dc, *3 dc in next sp, ch 1, sk next 3 dc, rep from * around, end w/ sl st in 1st dc to join.


Round 4: Sl st in next dc, ch 4, [(dc, ch 1) twice, dc] in the same st, sk next dc, sc in next ch sp, *sk next dc, sh in next dc, sk next dc, sc in next ch sp, rep from * around, end w/ sl st in 1st dc to join. 


Fasten Off.
