Pineapple Crochet Motif

This is an easy pineapple crochet motif that I used in my Elegant Bolero. You can create a lot of crochet projects out of this crochet pineapple motif.

Pineapple Crochet Motif Instructions


Round 1: Make ch 4, sl st in 1st ch to form a ring, ch3 (consider 3ch as 1st dc), work in the ring, dc, (ch9, 2dc) 3 times, ch 9, sl st in 1st dc to join.


Round 2: Ch3 (consider as 1st dc), dc in next dc, ch3, sk next 3ch of 9ch sp, [(2dc in next ch) 3 times, skip next 3ch]  of the same sp, ch3, *dc in each of next 2dc, ch3, sk next 3ch of 9ch sp, [(2dc in next ch) 3 times, skip next 3ch] of the same sp, ch3, rep *around, sl st in 1st dc to join.


Round 3: Ch 3 (consider 3ch as 1st dc), dc in next dc, ch4, skip next 3ch sp, dc in each dc with ch1 in between, ch4,  skip next 3ch sp, *dc in each 2 dc, ch4, skip next 3ch sp, dc in each dc with ch1 in between, ch4, skip next 3ch sp, rep* around, sl st in 1st dc to join.


Round 4: Sl st in next dc and in 1st ch of 4ch sp, ch3(consider as 1st dc), 2dc in same sp, ch5, sk next dc, sc in next 1ch sp, (ch4, sk next dc, sc in next 1ch sp) 4times, ch5, sk next dc, 3dc in 4ch sp, *ch3, sk next 2dc, 3dc in next 4ch sp, ch5, sk next dc, sc in next 1ch sp, (ch4, sk next dc, sc in next 1ch sp) 4times, ch5, sk next dc, 3dc in 4ch sp, repeat * around,  ch1, hdc in 3rd ch of beg ch to join.


Round 5: Ch1, sc in the same sp, ch5, sk next 3dc, 3dc in next 5ch sp, ch5, sc in next 4ch sp, (ch4, sc in next 4ch sp) 3times,  ch5, 3dc in next 5ch sp, *ch5, sk next 3dc, sc in next 3ch sp, ch5, sk next 3dc, 3dc in next 5ch sp, ch5, sc in next 4ch sp, (ch4, sc in next 4ch sp) 3times,  ch5, 3dc in next 5ch sp, rep *around, ch2, sk next 3dc, dc in 1st sc to join.


Round 6: Ch1, sc in same sp, ch5, sc in next 5ch sp, ch5, sk next 3dc, 3dc in next 5ch sp, ch5, sc in next 4ch sp, (ch4, sc in next 4ch sp) twice, ch5, 3dc in next 5ch sp, *ch5, skip 3dc, (sc in next 5ch sp, ch5) twice, sk next 3dc, 3dc in next 5ch sp, ch5, sc in next 4ch sp, (ch4, sc in next 4ch sp) twice, ch5, 3dc in next 5ch sp, rep * around, ch2, sk next 3dc, dc in 1st sc to join.


Round 7: Ch1, sc in same sp, ch5, (sc in next 5ch sp, ch5) twice,  sk next  3dc, 3dc in next 5ch sp, ch5, sc in next 4ch sp, ch4, sc in next 4ch sp, ch5, 3dc in next 5ch sp, *ch5, sk next 3dc, (sc in next 5ch sp, ch5) 3 times, sk next  3dc, 3dc in next 5ch sp, ch5, sc in next 4ch sp, ch4, sc in next 4ch sp, ch5, 3dc in next 5ch sp, rep * around, ch2, sk next 3dc, dc in 1st sc to join.


Round 8: Ch1, sc in same sp, ch5, (sc in next 5ch sp, ch5) 3 times,  sk next  3dc, 3dc in next 5ch sp, ch5, sc in next 4ch sp, ch5, 3dc in next 5ch sp, *ch5, sk next 3dc, (sc in next 5ch sp, ch5) 4 times, sk next  3dc, 3dc in next 5ch sp, ch5, sc in next 4ch sp, ch5, 3dc in next 5ch sp, rep * around, ch2, sk next 3dc, dc in 1st sc to join.

 Round 9: Ch1, sc in same sp, ch5, (sc in next 5ch sp, ch5) 4 times, sk next 3dc, 3dc in next 5ch sp, ch7, 3dc in next 5ch sp, *ch5, sk next 3dc, (sc in next 5ch sp, ch5) 5 times, sk next 3dc, 3dc in next 5ch sp, ch7, 3dc in next 5ch sp, rep * around, ch2, sk next 3dc, dc in 1st sc to join.
