Here you can find an easy free crochet pattern headband for girls, a flower Girlie Headband that could be worn in winter time as ear warmer too.

This is a great project to your stash that filed up to your place. 

This headband for girls circumference 20” can fit to 3-5 years old.


Needed

Yarn: Red Heart worsted yarn - stash yarn

Yarn I used here >> Spring Green, White, Baby Pink, Shocking Pink, Light Grey

Hook: US I9   /  5.50MM


Gauge

4" - 18 stitches  : 13 rows

Laying flat: 9 1/2  x  3 1/2


Stitch Guide

2dc-Tog:  Yarn over, insert hook in the same st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through first 2 loops on hook, Yarn over, sk next st, insert hook in next st, draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through first 2 loops on hook,  yarn over and draw through all 3 loops, 2dc-tog made.

Sc new color: Insert the hook in next 1ch sp, catch the new yarn and draw it through two loops on the hook, one loop remains on the hook, single crochet new color.

Beg Cluster: Ch2, (yarn over, insert hook in specified st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through first 2 loops on hook) twice, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops, beg cl made. For photo tutorial please click here.

Cluster: (Yarn over, insert hook in specified st and draw up a loop; yarn over and draw through first 2 loops on hook) 3 times, yarn over and draw through all 4 loops on hook: cl made. For photo tutorial please click here.


Terms Used

Sl St: Slip Stitch

Sc: Single Crochet

Dc: Double Crochet

Cl: Cluster Stitch

Beg Cl: Beginning Cluster

Sk: Skip


Girlie Headband Instructions

Chain 66, sl st to form a ring.

Round 1: Start with the middle, Ch1, sc in the same st, (sc in nest st) around. [66 sc]


Drop the yarn, and turn on the other side, right side facing to you, as shown to photo below.


Round 2: On the other side, catch the drop yarn on the hook, ch1, sc in the same st, (sc in next st) around, on the last sc, use the sc new color stitch guide, sl st in 1st sc to join.


Round 3: In green color yarn, Ch4, 2dc-tog around but having 1 skipped st in between, ch1, dc in the same st, sl st in 3rd ch of beg 4ch to join.


Round 4: Drop the yarn, catch the pink color yarn, sl st in next 1ch sp, beg cl, ch1, sk next st, (cl in next ch1 sp, ch1, sk next st) around, drop the yarn, catch the white color yarn, ch1, sl st in beg cl to join.


Round 5: Ch1, sc in the same st, (sc in next ch1 sp, sc in next st) around, sl st in 1st sc to join.

Round 6: Ch2, sk next sc, (sl st in next sc, Ch2, sk next sc) around, sl st in 1st sl st.  


You have finished the other half side of the flower headband.

Fasten Off, weave in ends.


On the other side;  Round 1, attach green color yarn, then repeat round 3 -6. Fasten Off, weave in ends.
