This is a great mommy super saver idea for their little ones since they outgrow shoes, clothes and almost everything they wear so fast you wont have to buy their shoes every couple of weeks. 

Make them while you wait them to grow.

I used the same pattern instructions for 0-3 and 3-6 months but using different size of hook and yarn while for the 6-12 mos. was in parenthesis ().

This Phoebe Baby Booties is one of my few booties I designed for my little niece.

Materials Needed

0-3 Months

Hook: 4.00MM [US G-6]

Yarn: 3 DK Weight Yarn


3-6 Months (6-12 Months)

Hook: 5.50MM [US I- 9]

Yarn Weight: #4, Worsted yarn

Yarn Used: Caron Simply Soft yarn, Watermelon, 30 yards


Terms Used

All terms are in USA terminology

Ch: Chain,  Sc: Single Crochet,  Dc: Double Crochet, Hdc: Half Double Crochet,  Sk:Skip


Gauge

2 " square = 10 sts X 12 Rows of SC


Phoebe Baby Booties Instructions

Round 1: Ch 10, 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each of next st across, 7 sc in last st, on the other side, sc in each of next st across, 2 sc in 1st st, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. [26 sc]


Round 2: Ch 1, sc in the same st, 2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 6 sts, hdc in each of next 3 sts, 2 hdc in each of next 5 sts, hdc in each of next 3 sts, sc in each of next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. [33 sts]


Round 3: Ch 1, sc in the same st, 2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 9 sts, hdc in each of next 3 sts, (2 hdc in each of next 2 sts, hdc  in each of next 2 sts) twice, hdc in next st, sc in each of next 9 sts, 2 sc in next st, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. [39 sts]


Round 4-5: Ch 1, sc in the same st and in each of next st around, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join.


Round 6: Ch 1, sc in the same st, sc in each of next 11 sts, hdc in next st, dc in next st, (dc3tog in next 3 sts) 4 times, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in each of next rem st , end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. [31 sts]


Round 7: Ch 1, sc in the same st, sc2tog in next 2 sts, sc in each of next 7 sts, hdc in next st, dc in next st, dc2tog in next 2 sts, dc4tog in next 4 sts, dc2tog in next 2 sts, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in each of next 7 sts, sc2tog in next 2 sts, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. [24 sts]


Round 8: Ch 1, sc in the same st, ch 4, sl st in top of sc, ch 1, sk next st, (sc in next st, ch 1, sk next st) 11 times, end w/ sl st in 1st sc to join. 


Fasten Off.

Phoebe Baby Booties String

Ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook, (ch 3, sl st) twice in the same st, (Note: this will serve the decoration of the string), 70, leave at least 15“ tail, cut off. Thread string through 8th round, after threading string, do the decoration of the string, ch 3, sl st in 4th ch from hook, (ch 3, sl st) twice in the same st.


Fasten Off.
