Chartreuse Crochet Scarf

This is a free crochet pattern for Chartreuse Crochet Scarf with photo tutorial in each step.


This Chartreuse Crochet Scarf is crocheted in flat, start in the middle to other half, then back to the middle to finish off the other half.

Pattern stitch is multiple of 10 sts + 8 sts for turn.

The finished measurement of the scarf is 6" x 60"

Materials Needed:

Hook: 4.00MM [US G-6]

Yarn Weight: #3, DK Weight Yarn

Yarn Used: Patons Glam Stripes, Chartreuse, 400 yds

Tapestry needle for weaving ends.


Stitch Guide:

Shell st (sh): 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in specified st

V-st: dc, ch 4, dc in specified st

Picot: Ch 3, sl st in top of specified dc

Gauge:

2" Square: 10 sts x 5R of DC's


Chartreuse Crochet Scarf Instructions:

Row 1: Ch 38, v-st in 13th ch from hook (consider 1st 4 ch as sp, 3 ch as 1st dc, and rem sts as foundation ch), ch 4, sk next 4 ch, dc in next st, *ch 4, sk next ch 4, v-st in next st, ch 4, sk next ch 4, dc in next st, rep * once more. [3 v-st]


Row 2: Ch 5, turn, sc in next 4 ch sp, sh st in next v-st, sc in next 4 ch sp, *ch 4, sc in next 4 ch sp, sh st in next v-st, sc in next 4 ch sp, rep * once more, ch 2, sk next ch 4 sp, dc in next st. [ 3 sh]


Row 3:  Ch 5 (consider 3 ch as 1st dc and 2 ch as sp), turn, dc in the same st, *ch 4, dc in next sh, ch 4, v-st in next ch 4 sp, rep * once more, ch 4, dc in next sh, ch 4, sk next 2 ch sp, dc-ch2-dc in next st.


Row 4: Ch 3 (consider as 1st dc), turn, 3 dc in next 2 ch sp, *sc in next 4 ch sp, ch 4, sc in next 4 ch sp, sh st in next v-st, rep * once more, sc in next 4 ch sp, ch 4, sc in next 4 ch sp, 3 dc in next ch 2 sp, dc in last dc.


Row 5: Ch 7 (consider 3 ch as 1st dc and ch 4 as ch sp), v-st in next 4 ch sp, *ch 4, dc in next sh, ch 4, v-st in next 4 ch sp, rep * across, ch 4, sk next 3 dc, dc in last dc.


Row 6 - 65: Rep Row 2-5


Cut off. 


Back to the foundation ch, turn the scarf to right side. 

Attach the yarn in the corner, *ch 4, sk next ch 4, sc in next st, rep * across.


Row 1: Rep row 1


Row 2-65: Rep row 2 -5


Last row serves as edging around.

End Edging: Ch 3, turn, dc in the same st, picot, dc in the same st, sc in next 4 ch sp, [(dc, picot) 4 times, dc] in next v-st, sc in next 4 ch sp, *[dc, picot, dc] in next dc, sc in next 4 ch sp, [(dc, picot) 4 times, dc] in next v-st, sc in next 4 ch sp, rep * across, [dc, picot, 2 dc] in next dc. Do not cut, continue to side edging.


Side Edging: Ch 1, turn the scarf to sideways, sc in the same dc, *ch 2, sc in next dc post, rep * across the side of the scarf. do not cut, continue to the other End Edging.


Repeat the Side Edging, Do not cut, continue to side and rep side edging instructions.


Fasten Off.
